In recent years, there’s been increased concern by state leaders about whether NH can keep its best and brightest. With the help of the NH College and University Council in Concord, Business NH Magazine checked in with colleges and universities around the state to find out what their top students are planning. Here’s what one graduate reported back to us.
Samantha Docos, University of NH
Hometown: Merrimack, NH
Degree Earned: BS in Biomedical Science and minor in Dance
GPA: 3.98
Career Aspirations: To become a physician. At this point I am very interested in specializing in either obstetrics and gynecology or pediatrics.
Graduate School: I just applied to medical schools all over the country for Fall of 2015.
Have you landed a job? Yes, I will be working during my gap year before medical school at City Year NH in Manchester.
Why stay in NH? I applied to be a City Year corps member in Manchester because I wanted to serve in the community that I grew up in.
