Jack Franks, chief executive officer of Avanru Development Group, and Dick Anagnost, who owns Revo Casino and Social House in Keene, plan to acquire the Main Street America Insurance Co. building at 55 West St., Franks said Wednesday morning.

The involved parties are currently working through the due diligence process and expect to close mid-summer, according to Franks.

"[We're] very happy to be working with Main Street America and the city of Keene," he said.

There are no plans yet for the property, and Franks said he could not say more because of a non-disclosure agreement.

Janet Masters, spokesperson for Main Street America, could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.

The insurance company decided to sell the building, which is roughly 130,000 square feet, because most of its employees often work remotely and it no longer needed an office of that size, Masters told The Sentinel in 2025.

The company was founded in Keene on March 28, 1923, as National Grange Mutual Liability Company. Its headquarters was shifted to Jacksonville, Fla., in 2005.

Built in 1950, the four-story building has an assessed value of $4.75 million, according to Keene's online assessment database.

Both Franks and Anagnost have other projects brewing in the Monadnock Region. Franks' Avanru Development recently broke ground on affordable senior housing in Swanzey and has other housing projects including in Walpole, while Anagnost is planning to move Revo Casino from its Emerald Street spot to the former Toy City space on Key Road.
