The Wire Belt Company of America renovated an old big box retail building to create its new facility in Bedford. The building includes a massive solar panel system and employee vehicle charging stations as part of its numerous green initiatives.
Diversity is celebrated at Wire Belt, where six languages are spoken. The company takes pride in its annual Diversity Day, where employees prepare and share delicacies from their native countries.
Fun and camaraderie are hallmarks of Wire Belt, with monthly events like summer barbecues, Red Sox opening-day celebrations, food trucks, St. Bunny’s Day (an amusing blend of Easter and St. Patrick’s Day), Pie Day, chili cook-offs, Halloween, and Christmas festivities. An annual Employee versus Management challenge adds excitement with events that have included cornhole tournaments, relay races, obstacle courses, Office Olympics, and tug-of-war over a mud pit.
Monthly rallies promote communication and recognition, featuring “Hey, Did You Know?” sessions and a “Thank You Moment” for sharing achievements and celebrations, such as attaining U.S. citizenship, weddings, births, and expressions of gratitude. Employee loyalty is deeply valued, with a banner hung in honor of employees reaching 25 years of service. The company also offers a Decade Sabbatical, granting a two-week paid leave every 10 years.
