UNH Students to Help Small Businesses

Published Friday Nov 3, 2017

Honor students from the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of NH in Durham will assist small businesses with some of their challenges this spring. Working in teams, the scholars will work in partnership with the NH Small Business Development Center (NH SBDC) to collaborate with NH businesses over the spring 2018 semester. They will be tasked with solving intricate problems in marketing, finance, computer analysis, and product feasibility.

UNH believes that having students from diverse backgrounds such as economics, finance, marketing, analytics, and accounting allows projects to be addressed from a myriad of perspectives. The university also believes that the structure will result in better outcomes, improving the learning experience for students while providing customized results for the business.

NH SBDC state director, Rich Grogan is currently accepting preliminary conversations about potential project suitability. Small businesses have until Dec. 1 to apply.
