Keene's first cat café is set to open this week.

Cozy Cat Corner at 40 Washington St. is slated to open on Wednesday, the establishment said on social media.

"The wait is almost over!" the post said. "We're excited to announce that Cozy Cat Corner Officially opens July 1! Thank you to everyone who has supported us during our renovation journey. We can't wait to welcome you in for coffee, cuddles and plenty of feline fun!"

As of Friday, the space on the corner of Vernon and Washington streets had a cat wheel and cat tower as well as chairs and tables. Owner and cat lover Mariana Kaluzny previously said she plans to have a rotating cast of up to 10 friendly felines roaming the premises, who would also be up for adoption.

The café will serve drinks made in a cat-free zone and pre-packaged baked goods, she said in January. She said there will also be a separate charge for entering the café.

Kaluzny was not immediately reachable for comment Friday.
