Unitil, a Hampton-based provider of electricity and natural gas to customers in New England, promoted Katherine A. Bourque (pictured here) to senior VP of external affairs and chief customer officer. Bourque joined Unitil in 2019 as director of government affairs. Most recently, she served as Unitil’s VP of policy and corporate relations.

Ocean Gaming Casino in Hampton recently relaunched as Beach Club Casino. The casino added 1,400 square feet to occupy the first two floors of the building at 81 Ocean Boulevard. It will offer 15 table games, 140 historical horse racing machines and three bar and dining concepts.

At the NH Tourism Summit in Laconia on May 21, the NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) presented its first-ever BEA Collaborator of the Year Award to the Greater Monadnock Collaborative (GMC). The award was presented to Luca Paris, president and CEO of GMC. The award highlights an organization that has shown commitment, partnership and support to communities and the state throughout the year for the greater good of tourism and economic development. In recent years GMC has made a substantial investment in promoting the Monadnock Region, with the goal of attracting visitors, workers, young residents, and college students to the area.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, a part of Mass General Brigham, has expanded its pediatric services, launching a new hospitalist program for children through a collaboration with Mass General for Children. Patients under the age of 18 now have access to a pediatric hospitalist onsite, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Children admitted through the emergency department will now be cared for by the same hospitalist during their inpatient stay, providing continuity of care.

The Marketing Association of Plymouth State (MAPS), an official collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA), won numerous awards at the AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC), which took place in New Orleans, La., between April 11 and 13, 2024. This is the first time that Plymouth State University’s (PSU) chapter has participated in the conference since 2019. Plymouth State University garnered the following awards at the AMA ICC competitions: Thomas Giessler and Carissa Adams ranked within the top 10 as finalists and honorable mentions in the Marketing Strategy Competition; Brian Sullivan achieved recognition as a finalist and received an honorable mention in the Sales Competition; and MAPS placed 19th among 60 chapters in the marketing simulation.
