St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua appointed Gerard “Jerry” Hadley as CFO and VP of finance. He most recently served as VP for finance, analysis, and planning at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Massachusetts, where he successfully led financial operations and strategy for a $370 million community hospital.

Adele Bauman was unanimously confirmed by NH’s Executive Council as director of the NH State Council on the Arts. She previously worked for 16 years at the NH Division of Health and Human Services, where she focused on the youth sector, including mental health services. While there, she was instrumental in developing the “Magnify Voices Expressive Arts Contest,” which provides expressive arts therapy experiences to children.

After 34-year career, Chief Advancement Officer Pamela Puleo has decided to leave the Concord Hospital health system to pursue a new career opportunity. Puleo joined Concord Hospital as director of development and established the organization’s first broad-based philanthropy program in 1989. She was later promoted to VP, philanthropy and public affairs where she oversaw public affairs and marketing, volunteer services and philanthropy. Over time, her responsibilities expanded to include oversight of hospitality services, the gift shop, spiritual care and patient therapeutic activities and holistic services. In 2018, she was promoted to chief advancement officer where she served on a team that managed the process to purchase LRGHealthcare, developing and implementing a communications plan to engage and inform both internal and external audiences of the acquisition.

Horizons Engineering, a NH-based civil and structural engineering, land surveying, and environmental consulting firm with eight offices in NH, Maine and Vermont, acquired Land Technical Service Corp. (Land Tech) in Ossipee. Land Tech’s previous owner, Bryan Berlind, will continue servicing his client network as well as existing and new Horizons clients at the Horizons Ossipee office.

Make-A-Wish NH appointed Mike Gibeault as director of philanthropy, a new role responsible for structuring, implementing, and monitoring a donor engagement model. Gibeault previously served as sales manager, district manager and senior account executive at Coca-Cola Company.

Maple Suites, a Holiday by Atria independent living community in Dover, completed its $1.5 million renovation project that included creating an expanded fitness room. The game lounge, living room with library, atrium, and dining room also received extensive renovations.

Ledyard Financial Advisors, the wealth management division of Ledyard National Bank in Hanover, hired Linda Mack as senior VP, director of client relationships. She previously served as a financial support consultant at Cuna Mutual Group, first VP and the director of investment and vendor relations at Provident Bank and financial advisor/district manager at Santander Bank.

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon was again recognized by U.S. News & World Report as NH’s Best Hospital in the U.S. News Best Hospitals 2023-24 rankings.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover was named “High Performing” in the treatment of heart failure by U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-2024 Best Hospitals rankings.

For the second consecutive year, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover has awarded a $10,000 community benefit grant to the American Diabetes Association to support Camp Carefree, a summer camp in New Durham for children living with type 1 diabetes. The grant helped to support 100 campers this summer.

Devine Millimet in Manchester hired Attorneys Stephen Zaharias and Jeffrey Adams. Zaharias joins the litigation department and Adams has been named chair of the firm’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group.

Jewett Construction in Fremont completed construction on a 214,400-Square-foot multi-tenant speculative industrial warehouse campus for Davis, a real estate development firm, in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
