Following a recent special election, Kathleen Mahan was elected VP of the NH Bar Association. She succeeds Paul Chant, who was named president-elect. Mahan is a litigation partner at Hinckley Allen in Manchester, where she practices in several intellectual property matters, including trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights. She also handles business disputes in relation to corporate governance, non-compete conflicts, contract actions, and other professional disagreements.

Harbour Women’s Health, a private women's healthcare practice, has expanded into Rochester. They provide office-based and surgical care options at their new location. Harbour Women’s Health is owned by four female physicians: Emily Amarosa, MD, Saroj Fleming, MD, Heidi Keup, MD, and Caroline Scoones, MD.

DHL Supply Chain broke ground on a 27,000-square-foot expansion of its distribution center in Bow,which houses products sold in NH’s 67 NH Liquor & Wine Outlet locations and by more than 6,200 licensees across the state. To keep pace with the NH Liquor Commission’s (NHLC) sales growth, the distribution center will increase its capacity by 200,000 cases, from 1.2 million cases to 1.4 million cases. The expansion of the DHL Supply Chain distribution center, which currently spans 244,000 square-feet, is expected to be completed by spring 2023.

Franklin Savings Bank promoted Nancy Watson to AVP, Branch Manager-Boscawen, Jon Cayton to AVP, Branch Manager-Franklin, and Shelbie Swanson to Branch Manager-Gilford.  In their respective roles, they will be responsible for executing strategies to achieve branch goals as part of the bank’s strategic plan. They will also provide coaching to their team to assure proper utilization of sales techniques, as well as ensure compliance with the bank’s policies, procedures and industry regulatory requirements.

Gunstock Mountain in Gilford hired Steve Newick as marketing director. He holds an MBA from the University of NH and acts as an industry ambassador for the Paul College Center for Business Analytics. Most recently, he was the CEO of Newick’s Hospitality Group.

NHTI - Concord's Community College, appointed Ed Winters as its new athletics director. He takes the reins from Paul Hogan, who retired this summer after more than 20 years as NHTI’s athletics director and men’s basketball coach. Winters comes to NHTI more than a decade of experience working with student athletes as part of the Athletics Department at Colby-Sawyer College in New London.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover awarded a $25,000 community benefit grant to Waypoint to assist in the creation of a Drop-In Center in Rochester, which will allow the nonprofit organization to reach more homeless youth in the Seacoast region.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central NH broke ground on Nov. 14 on the new Penacook Community Center, which will accommodate approximately 100 children at an early learning center and after school program.
