In the spotlight: Laars Heating Systems in Rochester, a designer and manufacturer of boilers, water heaters, and pool heaters used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications, named Domingo Mohedano as VP and general manager. Mohedano succeeds Rich Simons, who has been named senior VP of product strategy and product marketing at Bradford White Corporation, Laars’s parent company. Mohedano most recently served in a leadership position at IDEMIA, a payment card manufacturer in Exton, Pennsylvania.

Franklin Savings Bank in Franklin promoted Amy Rankins to VP and human resources officer, and Jessica Price to VP and controller. Rankins joined the bank in 2017 as an executive/HR assistant and was later promoted to human resources officer followed by AVP, human resources officer. Price joined the bank in 2008 as a part-time Teller in the Tilton office and has advanced into several positions in retail, deposit operations and finance.

Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. is proud to welcome Attorney Madeline Blackburn and Attorney Simone Washington to the firm. Blackburn will be based out of the firm’s Dover office and Washington will be based out of the Concord office. Blackburn and Washington are both alumni of Shaheen & Gordon’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) summer internship program in 2021.

Granite VNA in Concord named Kris Green as VP of hospice. Green will oversee operational management of the agency’s hospice services, comprising home hospice throughout 82 NH communities and Hospice House in Concord.  She previously spent 31 years with Concord Hospital and Concord Hospital Medical Group, most recently serving as administrator of cardiovascular services at Concord Hospital after serving as director of surgical services.

New Hampshire’s first ever LEGO store is opening at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua. A soft opening was held Nov. 4 with a grand opening celebration taking place in January 2023.

Specialty outdoor retailer REI Co-op will open a new store at Market and Main in Bedford in fall 2023. The 22,000-square-foot store will offer a full-service bike shop staffed by certified mechanics and a ski and snowboard shop with professional tuning, waxing and repairs.

Dave’s Hot Chicken, a Los Angeles-based fast-casual brand, inked a franchise agreement with Al Graziano to make its entrance into NH and expand its existing presence in Massachusetts. As part of his development deal, Graziano will focus on growing Dave’s Hot Chicken in Merrimack, Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties in New Hampshire, as well as Essex County in Massachusetts. They are seeking 2,000 to 2,700 square feet endcaps and freestanding locations, with or without drive-thru capacity.

Eastern Propane & Oil in Rochester donated $29,422.59 to Veterans Count. This donation is the result of Eastern’s donation of one penny for every gallon of propane that was delivered by its five Veterans Count branded delivery trucks during their last fiscal year.
