In the Spotlight: Ledyard National Bank has hired Jeff Gendron as senior VP, senior portfolio manager and investment strategist at Ledyard Financial Advisors. Prior to joining Ledyard Financial Advisors, he researched investments and managed portfolios at The Colony Group, formerly known as Harvest Capital Management in Concord. Timothy Sumner also joins Ledyard Financial Advisors as a senior financial consultant.

Cornerstone VNA is looking for volunteers to join their thriving ‘A Matter of Balance’ program as a volunteer coach. This program is designed to help people in the community manage concerns about falls and increase physical activity. The next training is April 25 and 26.

After 21 years of ownership of a Dairy Queen franchise in the Lakes Region, Michael and Michelle Merrill have passed the torch to new owners Brian and Mariluz Flanders. Currently it is one of the top producing stores in the region. Ivor Thomas and Leon Parker of NH Business Sales represented the sellers in the transaction.

NH Boat Museum’s Back Bay Skippers Model Yacht Club returns to Wolfeboro’s Back Bay with radio-controlled model yacht races that have delighted onlookers since 2008. In addition to racing one another every Tuesday and Thursday in downtown Wolfeboro, the Skippers teach model yacht building workshops.

Environmental protection, food security, and crisis support are services offered by the Maine and NH-based nonprofits selected by the public to receive grant awards through the Bangor Savings Bank Foundation’s 2022 Community Matters More program. A total of $158,000 will be awarded across 45 nonprofit organizations.
