A senior project manager, Roy has more than 20 years’ experience leading investigation, cleanup, and redevelopment of numerous contaminated industrial, institutional, military, municipal, and Superfund sites.

Capital Regional Development Council in Concord hired Chuck Gilboy as business development and loan officer. CRDC is a leading source of gap financing working directly with NH Banks. Most recently Gilboy was a loan officer with Grafton County Economic Development Council in Plymouth.

Step Up Parents in Portsmouth received a $5,000 grant from the Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction to provide financial support to kinship caregivers across the state who have stepped up for children of parents with substance use disorder. The grant will also help Step Up Parents build their organizational capacity to keep pace with the fast-growing demand for caregiver assistance in New Hampshire.

Deerfield and Plymouth voted to allow establishments to offer KENO 603 during town meetings. More than a dozen establishments in Plymouth are eligible to apply to offer KENO 603, while three establishments in Deerfield are eligible to apply.

Mike Justason was promoted to assistant VP, branch relationship manager at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. He leads the retail banking team at the Peterborough branch. He joined the Bank in 2018 as a personal banker after 15 years in the service industry.

Leddy Group promoted Cassandra Carroll to staffing manager for the Upper Valley market. Carroll joined the firm in 2017 as a staffing coordinator for the Rutland, VT market.

Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) in Dover hired Rachel Sanbornton as payroll manager with responsibility for processing payroll for all employees of WOU and its sister company Leddy Group.

Tosha Talbot was also promoted to director of the Keene market. Talbot joined WOU in 2019 as a career resource specialist bringing several years of experience working in human services, ranging from Rehabilitation Counselor to Program Manager.

NH Department of Health and Human Services released Happy, Healthy, Lead-Free Me!, a new children’s book aimed at engaging children and educating parents on lead poisoning prevention and the importance of pediatric lead level testing. Developed by the Division of Public Health Services with clinical collaboration from NH Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the book is currently available at many pediatric health care provider offices and is available for free download at https://leadfreekidsnh.org/happy-healthy-lead-free-me-resources.

The 2022 Brodsky Prize, a $,5000 award established by a former editor of the Manchester Central High School newspaper to encourage out-of-the-box efforts and innovation by a new generation of student journalists, is accepting application through April 18. Judging criteria include a student's journalistic initiative and enterprise.
