In the spotlight: The law firm of McLane Middleton hired attorneys Renay C. Hamilton, Katie E. Hislop, and Julia C. Royce. Hamilton is an associate in the Corporate Department; Hislop joins the firm as an associate in the Trusts & Estates Department and Royce joins the firm as an associate in the Corporate Department.

Lakes Region Community College was awarded $48,073 through the Industry Recognized Credentials Grant Competition from the NH Department of Education to support skills development in its Automotive Technology program and provide additional hands-on learning opportunities through the purchase of an electric vehicle kit and supporting curriculum for this growing industry.

Bank of New Hampshire promoted Heather Buffington to assistant banking office manager of the Concord Main Street office. Buffington has 15 years of experience, including as a financial service representative in a call center.

New Hampshire Electric Cooperative will increase its Member Service Charge to reflect the ongoing costs to operate its electric system. A typical member who uses 500 kilowatt-hours of electricity will see an increase of $1.70 per month.  All other monthly charges will stay the same.

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene hired Eileen SnowLeopard, RN, MS, FNP-C, to its Endocrinology department. She brings more than two decades of experience as a family nurse practitioner.  Murphy Neenan, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, joins the Emergency Department. She most recently worked at Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

The NH Department of Revenue Administration has successfully completed a 3-year modernization of its information system on-time and on-budget. The Revenue Information Management System (RIMS) replaced a 30-year-old system by upgrading and consolidating the functionality of its tax administration processes.

Paul Beach has joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as assistant vice president, branch relationship manager for the Bank’s Enfield and West Lebanon locations. Prior to transitioning to the financial services industry, he served as front end manager at Market Basket for 13 years. Most recently, he served as branch manager for the People’s United Bank in White River Junction, Vermont.

Franklin Savings Bank made a $1,000 donation to the Franklin Toy Drive spearheaded by Boomer’s Barbeque to collect unwrapped toys for children. In addition, the bank’s employees sponsored 25 children through Franklin Police Department’s annual Toys for Tots campaign and a similar campaign organized by the Boscawen Police Department.

DISH TV removed New England Sports Network from its lineup in December, affecting access in all six New England states. DISH says the regional sports network requires nearly all customers to pay, when only a small percentage of watch.
