In the spotlight: Adria Bagshaw, of W.H. Bagshaw was elected to the board of the Precision Machined Products Association. The PMPA connects industry leaders who embody the future of manufacturing in North America. Adria was officially named an At-Large Director last month when Adria and Aaron (pictured above) attended PMPA’s 88th Annual Meeting in October.

A new fabric from the award-winning designer of outdoor gear and accessories, NEMO in Dover, was named one of the greatest innovations of 2021 by Popular Science. NEMO’s OSMO fabric, debuting in 2022 in two of the brand’s best-selling tents, is a proprietary composite weave made from 100% recycled fabric without the use of harmful flame-retardant chemicals or fluorinated water repellents (PFAS).

The Portsmouth-based kinship care nonprofit, Step Up Parents, received a $5,000 grant from the Oleonda Jameson Trust. As a direct-assistance organization, Step Up Parents provides financial and material support to kinship caregivers raising children whose parents struggle with substance use disorder.

The Rite Aid Foundation awarded The Chase Home a $10,000 grant as part of its 2021 Giving Tuesday grant award. The grant will support programs and services offered both at The Chase Home and in the community. The Chase Home is one of nearly 500 partner charities across the country receiving a Giving Tuesday grant from The Rite Aid Foundation. This year’s total foundation grant allocation was $4.8 million.

PeopleSense Consulting named Monadnock United Way in Keene a winner of Graceful Giving 2021. As the selected non-profit for 2021, MUW will receive a free, multi-session, team development workshop.

Merchants Fleet in Hooksett launched Electrify Fleet Hub, an online tool providing centralized information designed to help fleet managers make a seamless adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) as part of their sustainability goals. The new online tool allows users to research current and future EV models and also provides EV adoption planning, charging and infrastructure roadmaps and financing, and other useful resources including white papers, guides, infographics, and webinars.

Merrimack County Savings Bank donated a total of $11,000 to local food pantries. The Merrimack made contributions to the New Hampshire Food Bank, Capital Region Food Program, Hooksett Community Food Pantry, Hopkinton Food Pantry, Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter and Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry in Franklin ahead of the holiday season.

The Marketing Association of Plymouth State University hosted its 5th annual Teddy Bear Toss event benefitting patients at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD). The Panthers’ first goal came midway through the first period prompting the crowd of 655 to shower the ice with nearly 1,300 stuffed animals of all sizes and colors. Ten-year-old Elliot Perry of Bedford, a CHaD ambassador and patient who spent 121 days in CHaD’s neonatal intensive care unit after being born prematurely, was the Guest of Honor and performed the ceremonial puck drop.
