In the Spotlight: Cornerstone Visiting Nurse Association is offering a drive-through flu clinic on Friday, October 22 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The clinic will be held outside in the parking lot at their main office at 178 Farmington Road in Rochester. Flu vaccines are covered by most major insurances. The cost for the flu vaccine is $40 without insurance, and $70 for the high dose.

NH Electric Cooperative board of directors approved changes to the Co-op Power rate and Regional Access Charge, which will result in an overall bill increase for most residential members of about 17%, or $17.19. The new rates will take effect with bills rendered on or after November 1.

Merchants Fleet in Hooksett has launched a major expansion of its core member funding group to include some of the top banks in the world, enabling the company to access $2 billion of capacity to lease vehicles and equipment for clients as well as invest in continued growth. The new group of banks and investors is led by French international banking group BNP Paribas who along with Merchants’ lead equity partner Bain Capital Credit, represents over $20 Trillion in assets.

To fill a variety of positions across the organization—from operations and support roles to allied health, nursing, and more—Cheshire Medical Center, an affiliate of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, will host a virtual career fair open to the public on Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 3 pm to 7 pm via a secure online platform. Prospective employees will be able to meet one-on-one with managers from different departments about multiple positions, live from a computer or smart device.

North Branch Construction in Concord hired Bronson Raspuzzi, as project manager. He comes to North Branch Construction with over 20 years of experience. Thomas Hannan was recently promoted to project manager. Hannan joined North Branch as a summer intern in 2020. Jessica Raymond, project coordinator, most recently worked for the City of Concord with the Concord Police Department, providing technical and administrative support.

The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester opened its new Teen Tech Lab–a center for hands-on STEM. The AT&T Foundation provided $14,500 to help furnish the Lab, which combines the resources of STEM and teen programs to deliver age-appropriate education and support for students in grades 6 through 12.

Robert “Bob” Sharpe was promoted to assistant VP, commercial loan portfolio manager at Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack). Prior to joining the Merrimack in 2020, he worked as a risk management consultant with Darling Consulting Group.

Red River Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)3 supporting veterans and students, presented 10 military membersin Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, New York, Texas and Virginia with $5,000 awards from the Jeff Sessions Memorial Scholarship, which was created to honor Red River’s late CEO and his commitment to supporting active-duty military and veterans with funding to pursue technology careers.
