In the spotlight: Bank of New Hampshire hired Tricia Abood as VP – Bedford Banking Office Manager. She has thirty years of banking and financial services experience and seventeen years in progressively responsible management positions.

Mac’s Macaroni and Cheese in Manchester is holding its annual “Mac Gives Back” fundraiser October 1 through October 31, 2021, and will donate $1 for every Take & Bake order of their macaroni and cheese specialties. Funds raised will support the Manchester Salvation Army Kids Café, the Manchester Boys and Girls Club, and the Manchester Police Athletic League.

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene hired Roz Vara-Good, APRN, FNP-C, to the Family Medicine department. Prior to coming to Cheshire, she worked as a registered nurse and relief charge nurse at the Denver Health Surgical Trauma Unit. She also spent time as a travel nurse in Utah and Colorado. Julie Cookish, APRN, FNP-C, was named to the Family Medicine department. Prior to coming to Cheshire, Cookish worked at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, as a registered nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and as a rapid response nurse.

Planet Fitness in Hampton and the Paralyzed Veterans of America, National Council on Independent Living, and American Council of the Blind have formed a coalition focused on working with global organizations to build inclusive health communities that provide people with disabilities equal access to, and opportunities for, healthy living. Planet Fitness is committed to providing inclusive equipment in all new stores and adding it to existing stores across the country as franchise owners replace current offerings.

Colliers, a global commercial real estate firm, facilitated the sales of the former Segway lot at 14 Technology Drive in Bedford. The 88,214 SF building sits on almost 18 acres and has 11 loading docks and a drive-in door. The buyer is LSNE Contract Manufacturing.

Bank of New Hampshire has initiated a Banking on Kindness project to spread kindness around the community and to help bring awareness to the 40th Annual Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction. Local organizations are placing teal blue Kindness Rocks in popular areas throughout the Greater Lakes Region community. For every Kindness Rock that is posted to social media using the official #BankingOnKindness hashtag, BNH will donate $20 to the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction, now through October 28th.

CPA firm Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, PA hired Staff Accountant, Sydney Carlisle. She started with the firm in January 2021 as an intern during the busy tax season. She joined the firm full-time after graduating magna cum laude with honors from UNH. Carlisle works in the Wolfeboro office.

The Red Arrow Diner, in Concord, Londonderry, Manchester, and Nashua closed an entire day so employees and their guests could attend a company-wide staff appreciation barbeque. Employees celebrating milestones with the company – including 20+, 15, 10, and five-year anniversaries – were specially recognized.

Jewett Construction Company in Fremont added Project Manager Mike Robarge to its growing team. Robarge graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and began his career with NER Construction Management. He moved on to G. Greene Construction as a project manager where he managed jobs valuing a total of upwards of $20 Million.
