In the spotlight: Colliers commercial real estate services sold a 6,460-square-foot, mixed-use building at 105-107 Market Street in downtown Portsmouth. David Choate and Andrew Ward, of Colliers’ Portsmouth office, represented the seller, 105-107 Market Street, LLC, in the transaction. Tony Jalbert, of Tate & Foss Sotheby’s International, represented the buyer, 409 Franklin Pierce Highway, LLC. According to the Rockingham County Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $2.5 million, which represents full asking price. The property is a six-story, waterfront, mixed-use building comprised of retail spaces on Ceres and Market Streets, an office space, and 3 apartments.

Meredith Village Savings Bank recently purchased $10,000 in tax credits from Lakes Region Community Developers through the NH Community Development Finance Authority to support their efforts in the Gale School Redevelopment Project at 60 Concord Street in Belmont Village.

Prolman Realty, Inc. completed the sale of One Bon Terrain Drive to EIP Manager Corp., according to Mark Prolman who represented the buyer and Rich Ruggiero of Newmark Knight who represented the seller, FW Webb Company. The 400,000-square-foot, high bay warehouse distribution building was built by FW Webb Company and will now be repositioned by EIP Manager Corp. to Lease out to one or two tenants. According to the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds, the selling price was $24 million.

Optisure Risk Partners hired Jennifer Paquin as a senior account manager. With more than 20 years of experience, her focus is on large construction accounts. Paquin will be based out of Manchester helping construction firms evaluate risk.

Freemont-based Jewett Construction Company, a New England regional design-build construction management firm and general contractor, hired Will Courchesne as an assistant estimator. Courchesne started his career as an assistant project manager and estimator at Harvey Construction Corporation in Bedford.

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene hired Olivier Van Houtte, MD, to the general surgery department. Van Houtte recently completed his colorectal surgery fellowship at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He also did his residency in general surgery at Abington-Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania.

Friends of Aine, a Manchester nonprofit providing bereavement support services to grieving children, teens and families, launched its free Backpack Program this week with distribution to the Manchester School District. Funded by the Bean Foundation, the backpacks include grief support tools students can use individually, or together with school community members, including teachers, guidance counselors, social workers, coaches, and support staff.
