In the spotlight: Jewett Construction of Fremont has been contracted by Promocentric to build two additions to allow for the growth of Promocentric as well as the creation of leasable space for industrial and manufacturing tenants. The two additions, one being 11,445 square feet and the other 12,610 square feet, feature a 28 clear height and new loading dock areas.

Bank of NH of Laconia donated $5,000 to Families in Transition for their ongoing work to prevent and break the cycle of homelessness across the state. The donation will support FIT food programs, including meals provided by dining services and groceries provided through their food pantry.

Avery Insurance, a fourth generation, family-owned, independent insurance agency in Portsmouth, hired Jessica Meierdirk as a commercial risk specialist. Meierdirk will be based in the Portsmouth office.

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene hired Kristina Carr, APRN, to the Hematology/Oncology department within the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Cheshire Medical Center. As a nurse practitioner, Carr has 27 years’ experience in various clinical settings.

Colliers, a real estate services, firm in Manchester is pleased to announce the recent sale of 44 Chenell Drive in Concord to NH investor, New Sunset Realty. Bob Rohrer and Dan Scanlon, of Colliers’ Manchester office, represented the Seller, Chenell Drive Trust, and also assisted the Buyer in the transaction. The 21,000-square-foot building on 2.41 acres is net leased to a regional tenant. According to the Merrimack County Registry of Deeds, the property sold for $1.9 million.

Bonnie Leighton has joined Meredith Village Savings Bank as a Mortgage Loan Originator. She is based out of MVSB’s Portsmouth office. Leighton began her career in mortgage servicing at a local credit union and most recently served as a senior mortgage loan officer at Bangor Savings Bank.

Bloomin’ Blinds, window treatment franchise, recently opened its first franchise in NH in Dover and plans to bring at least five new franchisees to the state over the next 3-5 years. Targeting expansion in Manchester, Concord, and Nashua.

Ledyard National Bank in Hanover donated $5,000 to support Vital Communities’ work to strengthen the Upper Valley’s local economy. Ledyard is a member of Vital Communities’ Corporate Council and supporter of the Vital Economy and Workforce Housing Initiatives.

Bank of New Hampshire made a $5,000 donation to the Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success (ORIS) in support of their Fresh Start Food Cart, which provides individuals in low-income communities access to fresh fruits and vegetables. ORIS’s mission is to aid in the resettlement of refugee and immigrant groups in NH.
