In the Spotlight: Colliers International in Manchester facilitated the sale of a two-building property on Second Street in Manchester consisting of a retail building and an apartment on .26 acres. The retail building was home to Ritz Camera for more than 20 years. International Car Parts will move from its current space on Lake Avenue in Manchester to this new location.

Turner Building Science and Design, a mechanical engineering firm in Maine and part of the HL Turner Group in Concord, hired Mark Bordelon as a mechanical design engineer. He has more than 15 years of experience in mechanical design and specializes in developing healthy environments.

The NH Food Bank in Manchester, a program of Catholic Charities NH, was issued a challenge by an anonymous private foundation to raise $100,000 by the end of the year, which will be matched, dollar-for-dollar. The matching grant comes through the WMUR Spirit of Giving Food Drive and donations can be made at www.nhfoodbank.org.

Merrimack County Savings Bank hired Rachel Perri as branch and business development manager of the North State Street office in Concord. She replaces Carla Nielsen who transitioned to a role in loan operations for NH Mutual Bancorp, the shared services organization for sister companies, Merrimack County Savings Bank, Meredith Village Savings Bank, Savings Bank of Walpole, and NHTrust.

BAE Systems in Nashua received a $60 million contract from Lockheed Martin to manufacture and deliver additional advanced missile seekers for the long-range anti-ship missile (LRASM). The seeker comprises long-range sensors and targeting technology that help the stealthy missile find and engage protected maritime targets in challenging electromagnetic environments.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health (D-HH) Trustee Bill Conaty and his wife, Sue, are donating $5.25 million to help expand D-HH’s ability to meet the critical needs of the region’s most seriously ill patients. The gift, which is the second-largest in Dartmouth-Hitchcock history, will support the new five-story Patient Pavilion currently under construction at their medical center in Lebanon.

Alene Candles in Milford named four Milford Luminaries, recognizing their work to help those affected by the pandemic, and donated $4,000 to community organizations designated by the recipients. Alene donated $1,000 to SHARE Outreach on behalf of Chali Davis, principal of Milford High School/ATC; $1,000 to SHARE Outreach on behalf of Bridget Roberts, a local realtor; $1,000 to the United Way of Greater Nashua on behalf of Wendy Hunt, president of the Greater Merrimack-Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce: and $1,000 to the NH Food Bank on behalf of Sandy Lafleur, formerly the nursing assistant Milford High School/ATC.

The NH Liquor Commission will raffle 52 of the most coveted and rare wines and spirits in the world with a goal of raising a combined $500,000 for the NH Food Bank and Easterseals NH. Entrants can choose which prize package they want to win in the Cheers for Charity! raffle – a package consisting of 35 spirits, including O.F.C. 1994 Bourbon Whiskey, Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 23yr Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition Kentucky Bourbon – or a prize package of 17 wines including a 2016 Château Pétrus Pomerol, 2017 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, 2016 Opus One and six bottles of 2017 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Echezeaux housed in a sealed crate. Four NH telecom companies (Charter Spectrum, Consolidated Communications, NHEC Broadband, and Starlink) will receive $25,257,660 over 10 years from Phase I of the Universal Service Fund’s (USF) Auction 904, or the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund, to expand broadband internet access in rural communities. This will help bring high-speed internet to an estimated 17,740 homes and small businesses that currently lack it.
