In the Spotlight: The New Hampshire Bar Association named Daniel E. Will, New Hampshire's first Solicitor General, working under the Attorney General in the Department of Justice, as its new president. Will is believed to be the first attorney working in the public sector while serving as NH Bar President. He hopes to focus on ways the Association can better serve public sector attorneys' needs and help all attorneys meet the challenges imposed by the pandemic.

Superior Controls, Inc. hired Ray Boudreau as vice president of business development. He will be working out of the company’s Seabrook office.  Prior to joining Superior, He served as director of business development - North America, for an automation solutions company.

Savings Bank of Walpole in Keene has begun reopening their branch lobbies and will continue to do so over the next week for appointment-only visits and then on July 1 for walk-in business with limited capacity.

Sheehan Phinney in Manchester hired Jaclyn N. Fisher to its Real Estate Group, where she will work primarily in affordable housing and low-income housing tax credits. Fisher joins the firm from Preti, Flaherty, Beliveau & Pachios. She served as a legal resident to the Honorable Andrea K. Johnstone, U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire.

Comcast will continue to provide 60 days of free Internet service to new, eligible Internet Essentials customers. Originally set to expire on June 30, the free offer will now be available through the end of this year. In addition, Comcast will continue to waive, through the end of the year, the requirement that customers not have a past due balance with Comcast to qualify for the free offer.

The Way Home in Manchester raised more than $69,000 for its COVID-19 response fund when numerous organizations and individuals stepped up with financial contributions; including the NH Charitable Foundation, Harvard Pilgrim Foundation, Housing Action NH and NH Housing Finance Authority.

EZ-CRETE LLC in Swanzey has entered into a strategic partnership with Superior Walls by Weaver to manufacture Superior Walls precast foundation walls in its Swanzey location. This agreement marks a significant milestone in EZ-CRETE’s growth and will position the company to continue to expand its business regionally and beyond.

Nancy Phillips Associates facilitated the sale of Port City Chrysler Dodge Ram owned by Frank Brady and Thomas Gergen, Sr. to Anthony DiLorenzo of Key Auto Group. The new dealership will be known as Key Chrysler Dodge Ram of Portsmouth.

Maine-based Hannaford Supermarkets is making a $250,000 donation to support 250 farms throughout New England and New York adversely impacted by the coronavirus global health pandemic. In total 23 farms in NH will receive funding via the American Farmland Trust’s Farmer Relief Fund, which provides farmers with grants to help them navigate challenges related to the COVID-19 crisis.

Family Promise of Southern New Hampshire in Hudson hired Jessica Martin as its new director of development and marketing. She will lead the organization’s largest fundraising campaign to-date the Building Home, Building Hope Capital Campaign that launched in April.

Ledyard National Bank in Hanover donated $5,000 to support Vital Communities’ work to strengthen the Upper Valley’s local economy. As members of Vital Communities’ Corporate Council, Ledyard shares the idea that regional prosperity grows from communities actively building economies that strengthen and sustain.

HCA Healthcare New Hampshire, which includes Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Parkland Medical Center, and Portsmouth Regional Hospital, launched a free hotline (833-867-8771) for people who lost health insurance coverage.  Advisors can discuss eligibility and advocacy services such as COBRA, coverage via a spouse, and federal health insurance programs.
