Bellwether Community Credit Union in Manchester recently donated take-home dinners to local hospitals in the Manchester, Bedford and Nashua area to thank those on the front line for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meals were prepared and delivered by Tidewater Catering of Manchester. The credit union had more than 100 meals delivered to Catholic Medical Center, Elliot Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Hospital.

Bangor Savings Bank, which has branches in NH, was named #1 in the New England region by the J.D. Power 2020 U.S Retail Banking Satisfaction Study, for the fifth time in six years. Bangor Savings Bank earned 863 points out of a possible 1,000, beating the New England average by 62 points and remaining number one in the region.

Families In Transition – New Horizons has partnered with Stark Brewing Company to prepare and deliver meals to various homeless encampments in Manchester. This is a state-funded effort.

Waypoint in Manchester appointed Gina Ferrante, CPA, to chief financial officer. Prior to Waypoint, Ferrante served as the director of finance and accounting at Community Teamwork in Lowell, Mass. and has held senior accounting positions at Digital Equipment Corp and Price Waterhouse.

Matthew Landon, CPA, EA, MSAT, joined Baker Newman Noyes as a senior manager in the firm’s Portsmouth office.

St. Mary’s Bank in Manchester closed more loans and had a higher volume of loans than any other credit union in NH across multiple categories in 2019, per The Registry Review, a NH real estate financial newspaper published by The Warren Group.

Memorial Hospital in North Conway will now use Telehealth, for the hospital’s Mount Washington Valley Rural Health Clinic, a service that facilitates virtual video visits with a health care provider using a home computer or smartphone. Patients without access to Telehealth technology can still receive a virtual visit by phone.

The Old Deerfield Center Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places both for its architecture and as an example of settlement and community development. Located near the geographic center of Deerfield, Old Deerfield Center was originally part of Nottingham, which was founded by royal charter in 1722.
