Vasil returns to the firm after several years as director of internal audit and finance for a large automotive firm.

The second annual Engineers Day Conference, organized by TFMoran in Bedford and Portsmouth, raised $15,000 for the American Society of Civil Engineers-NH Scholarship Fund. Attendance and sponsors fees fund the Fred L. Douglas High School Scholarship and the S. Russell Stearns Scholarship.

The Southern District YMCA has appointed David Richards, principal at InnoVestus LLC, interim CEO following the departure of Alex Turek on January 10. The board has initiated a search for a CEO and expects to fill the position by summer.

Crotched Mountain Foundation received a $9,500 grant from the NH Charitable Foundation to support Crotched Mountain Community Care, an independent case management program serving 900 older adults and individuals with disabilities helping them live independently.

Lamprey Health Care in Newmarket received a $175,000 federal grant to expand its medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorder in pregnant, postpartum and parenting women.

Chef Mark Segal is opening a new restaurant called Gravy in the Somersworth. He offers a “create-your-own dish” from a selection of gravies, then adding in options such as buttermilk biscuits, fried chicken, or meatloaf. Segal has been a chef at Pesce Blue, The 100 Club and Demeter's Steakhouse in Portsmouth.
