In the Spotlight: North Branch Construction of Concord hired Linda Provost as its new marketing coordinator. She brings more than 20 years of marketing experience. Sean Cheney (center) joins North Branch as a project superintendent. He owned his own contracting firm for 18 years. And, Greg Suttles has been hired as a project manager. He has 27 years of construction industry experience, and will be supervising Phase 2 construction at Wallace Farms in Londonderry.

The Business and Industry Association in Concord hired David Creer as its new director of public policy. Creer will head advocacy efforts in the areas of energy and environmental compliance. Creer most recently served as a legal fellow for the NH Housing Finance Authority.

Cookson Communications in Manchester hired Hannah Coen-Salamanca as a PR account executive. Coen-Salamanca will be the primary point of contact for clients and will spearhead social media efforts and strategy.

The NH Food Bank in Manchester recently teamed up with the Concord and Manchester Police Departments to collect nearly 8,000 pounds of food for those in need. The fundraisers were four “Stuff-A-Cruiser” food drives. During events, supporters were encouraged to stuff police cruisers with food donations, and in doing so, generated the equivalent of 6,605 meals for the hungry.

PowerHouse Consulting, Inc. hired Brendan Peterson as its new director of technical solutions. Prior to joining PowerHouse, he was senior platform evangelist for TIBCO Software and product marketing manager for Scribe Software.

Raleigh Wine Bar + Eatery in Portsmouth hired a new sous chef, Rebekah Cote, who has spent the last decade building her career on both coasts, including her latest job at Oak + Rowan, Harvest in Cambridge, Mass.

NH Housing Finance Authority recently chose Sarah Rosley, mortgage loan officer for Savings Bank of Walpole, participate in their Homeownership Fellowship Program, which offers mortgage professionals an opportunity to explore the issues and challenges of the mortgage finance system. Each year, up to 10 individuals are selected through a competitive application process to participate in the program.

Brooks Properties of Salem recently signed a lease with software company Pegasystems. Pegasystems will occupy 33,000 square feet in Salem. The new Salem location will replace Pegasystems' existing NH office in Bedford and is expected to bring new job opportunities to the region.

Standish Executive Search in Manchester hired Ian MacNeil as a principal of the firm. MacNeil has led large employee groups through new business startups, aggressive corporate expansions and challenging right-sizing initiatives.
