In the Spotlight: Brady Sullivan Properties and Summit Realty Partners Inc. have begun the second phase of leasing at The Shoppes at 655 South Willow Street in Manchester, a mixed-use development including about 65,000 square feet of new-to-market retail space, situated on 13 acres. Current tenants include Life Storage, Core Medical Group, Firehouse Subs, Popeye’s, Kung Fu Tea, and Glossy Nails.

NH Electric Co-op Foundation awarded grants of $5,000 each to the School’s Out! Program at Ossipee Central School and the Ossipee Children’s Fund, among 11 grants awarded in December totaling $58,000. The School’s Out! Program, in partnership with Governor Wentworth Regional School District, Ossipee Central School and Ossipee Recreation Department, offers a daily after-school program and the Ossipee Children’s Fund provides financial assistance to low-income families.

Great North Woods Wireless in Concord has launched Trailrunner Wireless broadband, which offers the North Country another option for high-speed internet using new technology to deliver internet to rural areas on 4GLTE networks. Trailrunner’s networks are built and operated by sister company, Wireless Partners.

B2W Software in Portsmouth has expanded B2W Inform, a data capture and analysis software program. The templates replace paper forms with customizable electronic forms for safety, inspection, human resources and other data needs in heavy construction.

Bangor Savings Bank received its Community Reinvestment Act Performance Evaluation from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for the time period of July 2015 through October 2018. The bank received an overall rating of “Outstanding” and was characterized by the evaluation as a “leader” in all three of the performance tests. According to their statement, the Outstanding rating is awarded to fewer than 8 percent of banks nationwide and is Bangor Savings’s fifth consecutive rating at the level.

Bank of New Hampshire in Laconia has promoted Lisa Byars to VP–human resources. Byars joined the bank in 2014 and has more than 25 years in manufacturing and banking, serving as a generalist and manager for large companies.

Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord promoted Brad Kulacz to regional VP. He will oversee three of four of the Merrimack’s Concord offices including its main office, business center, North State branch as well as the bank’s Contoocook location. This is a new role that was created to ensure the organization continues to offer the best service and products available to banking customers as it grows.

Plymouth State University’s Center for the Environment will host the 2019 NH Water and Watershed Conference on Friday, March 15, at Merrill Place Conference Center in Plymouth. The annual conference brings together scientists, regulators, non-profit organizations, water resource professionals, land use planners, elected officials, and others to share information on regional water resource issues, including water quality and supply.

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation awarded nearly $625,000 in new Healthy Food Fund grants to 25 not-for-profit community food access initiatives that grow, glean or distribute fresh produce to low-income families and older adults in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and NH. Grant awards are renewable for two additional years. These new grants bring the total amount of Healthy Food Fund grants since the program was launched in 2016 to $4.6 million.

The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth hired Cecelia C. Smith as its tourism director. Smith will be responsible for strategic planning, management and publicity for tourism development programs, coordinating two Restaurant Weeks annually and attending and presenting at travel industry shows and exhibitions throughout the east promoting the unique attractions of the Seacoast to potential domestic and international visitors.
