STG restored its building in Portsmouth and undertook a total interior re-design. The company is celebrating 20 years.


In the Spotlight: Spencer Thomas Group is celebrating its 20th year in business providing management consulting and senior project resources to companies worldwide. Barbara (O’Grady) Cassidy, Portsmouth native and company principal, brought the company back to NH in 2009. "When I saw this building, nestled in the Atlantic Heights neighborhood, I knew it was where we should be” says Cassidy.

Eversource named John Greene as community relations specialist. He will be responsible for representing Eversource to municipalities and business organizations in the northern region of the state, including communities in the Berlin, Chocorua and Tilton areas.

Two employees of Bensonwood in Walpole, Jay Lepple and Hans Porschitz, recently completed a four-day training and received U.S. Certified Builders Passive House Institute certificates. The passive house standard is a rigorous, voluntary standard for energy efficiency in a building, which reduces the building's ecological footprint and results in ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling.

Jim Brett, president and CEO of the New England Council, the oldest regional business organization in the nation, was recently inducted into the Northern New England Junior Achievement Hall of Fame. Brett is the first Alumni of Junior Achievement to be inducted.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has made a $7,500 pledge for the CATCH “Your Home” Capital Campaign to be paid over three years. This gift will help CATCH reach its goal of raising $1 million to purchase, renovate and unite CATCH offices.
