In the Spotlight: The NH Bar Association has appointed George Moore of Devine Millimet executive director for the organization. "Following an extensive search process, we are very excited to have George Moore assume this important leadership role,” says David McGrath, Bar president. "As a distinguished New Hampshire lawyer who has served as president of the New Hampshire and New England Bar Associations, George has the experience, diligence and vision necessary to lead the Association at a time when the legal community is experiencing rapid change and challenge.”

The Foundation for Seacoast Health in Portsmouth granted $10,000 to the White Pine Programs of York, Maine to support their continued efforts to expand the teen program there. The grant was presented by HealthcareGIVES, a local giving circle of approximately 200 Seacoast healthcare providers.

Regional accounting firm Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA recently promoted of Stephanie R. Kondvar, CPA, Sarah R. Wright, CPA, and Nina Ann Timney. Kondvar and Wright have both been with the firm since 2014 and will be serving as supervising seniors. Timney joined the firm in 2017 and is taking on the new role of senior.

The board of directors of Goodwill Northern New England named Rich Cantz president and CEO. Since 2012, Cantz has led Goodwill’s workforce, cleaning and healthcare segments – managing intentional growth that aligns with the five-year strategic plan, with the goal of increasing stability for program participants, employees and their families.

Merchants Fleet Management recently named Tracy Noel as director of human resources. Noel brings with her 13 years of HR experience. She is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, and has two additional HR certifications (SHRM-CP and PHR).

The 18th Annual HK Powersports Land and Lake Poker Run raised $100,000 for Easterseals programs and services. Participants traveled by car, motorcycle, boat, and more on or around Lake Winnipesaukee collecting cards to use in charity poker games that evening at the NASWA Resort.

The Edison Electric Institute presented Eversource with the EEI "Emergency Recovery Award" for its outstanding power restoration efforts after three consecutive nor'easters hit NH, Connecticut, and Massachusetts in March of this year.

Breathe New Hampshire, a century-old nonprofit dedicated to lung health, has received a $25,000 grant from CVS Health. The grant is part of Be The First, CVS Health's $50 million, five-year initiative to help deliver the nation's first tobacco-free generation and extend the company's commitment to help people lead tobacco-free lives.
