In the Spotlight: Catholic Charities New Hampshire’s fundraiser drew more than 300 guests to the Grappone Conference Center in Concord in February for the 13th Annual Mardi Gras Gala. The event raised more than $136,000, most of which goes toward the agency’s Emergency Services Fund that provides emergency assistance and vital services to poor and vulnerable residents of all faiths throughout New Hampshire. Catholic Charities NH is a private, non-profit human service organization that assists 1-in-13 poor and vulnerable residents throughout NH regardless of faith.

The Wright Museum of WWII in Wolfeboro was awarded a $5,000 grant by Cogswell Benevolent Trust in Manchester to modernize its research library. The museum’s combination of exhibits and artifacts, together with its approximately 3,000 volume library, offers visitors an opportunity to learn about WWII. With the support of the Cogswell Benevolent Trust the Museum will be able to expand thelLibrary’s hours, making the library available for drop-in visitors, launch al library membership program, and create a user database and mailing list.

Gilbert Oriol was named Broker of the Year for 2017 by New Hampshire Business Sales in the Main Street sales category. Oriol, a resident of Auburn, sold six businesses during the year ranging from assisted living facilities to landscape maintenance firms located throughout the state from the Lakes Region to the Seacoast and Southern NH. Four of the businesses were sold with related real estate. He joined NHBS in 2012 with a background in business development, corporate account management, marketing and sales. His bilingual skills in Spanish enable him to serve a diverse customer and client base as well.
