This Week’s Spotlight: Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord and Meredith Village Savings Bank, subsidiaries of NH Mutual Bancorp, each donated $50,000 to establish a permanent fund at the NH Community Loan Fund in Concord. The $100,000 donation was placed in the Community Loan Fund’s lending pool to help finance local housing financing needs.

Physician practices in Massachusetts, Maine and NH will receive grant funding this year from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s Quality Grants Program. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon will receive funding to support behavioral health and substance use management in its Primary Care Medical Home, while the money granted to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester will support its Mobile Integrated Healthcare Program.

Ledyard National Bank, headquartered in Hanover, opened a wealth management office at One Pillsbury St. in Concord. Ledyard plans to add banking and lending divisions to the Concord office soon.

Keene’s South Bridge is now open for use. The bridge, spanning Routes 12 and 101, connects Keene to Swanzey and Hinsdale, providing access to Keene State College’s athletic fields and making it easier and safer for people to walk and bike across Route 101 and out to surrounding towns.

Help for Haiti in Rye hosted its 7th Annual Feed My Starving Children MobilePack at Seacoast Helicopters in Portsmouth to package MannaPack meals, which are specially formulated to provide protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals to severely malnourished children. Over 600 volunteers hand-packed over 130,000 meals, which will feed 500 children in two schools throughout the 2017-2018 school year.

On June 1, Mr. Mac’s Macaroni & Cheese will open its third store in Tyngsboro across from the Pheasant Lane Mall. The chain launched in 2010 in Manchester and opened its second location in Portsmouth last November.

NH Motor Speedway in Loudon created the Trackside Terrace camping area for the 2017 season. Located in Turn 4 between the Laconia Grandstand and the Granite Ledge, the Trackside Terrace will be available for this year’s July and September Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series weekends.

Rochester Public Library and Rochester Museum of Fine Arts are partnering to host the first Rochester Independent Film Festival at the Rochester Opera House on June 24 and 25. The festival will feature award-winning independent films from around the globe, and films will be streamed from IndieFlix, an online streaming video site offered to card holding patrons of the library.

Tanger Outlets in Tilton donated $1,650 to Gilford Elementary School; $1,000 to Salisbury Elementary School and Webster Elementary School; and $958 to Winnisquam Regional Middle School in Tilton. For every coupon book sold, Tanger donates one dollar to the TangerKIDS Grants program, which provides funding to area schools of all grade levels from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Ronald D. Croatti, president and CEO of UniFirst Corporation in Wilmington, Mass. and a resident of Londonderry, died May 23 at age 74 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Croatti led the uniform and workwear supplier from $100 million in annual revenues when he took over leadership of the company to $1.5 billion at the time of his death.
