This Week’s Spotlight: Irwin Automotive Group in Laconia purchased $10,000 in state tax credits from Laconia Area Community Land Trust (LACLT). The money will help fund LACLT’s housing and support programs to low- and moderate-income families. LACLT has 538 residents occupying 245 units, with 32 more units currently under construction.

The Bank of New Hampshire donated $6,000 to the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains in Bedford. The money will help fund an annual lunch program and scholarships for girls to attend camp.

Brookstone Builders, Inc. in Manchester, hired Karen Scales as office manager. Scales previously worked as a food service director at health care facility and as test kitchen manager at Reader’s Digest in Wisconsin for 14 years.

Calypso Communications in Portsmouth, a PR, marketing and creative agency, hired Jesse Manfra as a video and animation designer. Manfra previously worked in social media marketing and branding for “America's Funniest Home Videos” in California.

Catholic Charities New Hampshire in Manchester promoted Marc Cousineau to director of parish & community services. Cousineau, who was director of the organization’s district office in Lebanon for nearly 32 years, succeeds Tony Poekert, who is retiring in February.

Nine businesses joined the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce in Feburary Active Choice Healthcare in Concord, a primary care provider; Cintas Fire Protection in Bow, a manufacturer of fire safety and prevention products; Fish Window Cleaning in Pembroke; Good Clean Property Services in Concord, a commercial property maintenance company; Hellenic American University in Manchester; LaBelle Winery in Amherst; Lorna Tobin of Concord, an independent personal trainer; Number 5 Tavern in Hopkinton; and OneKph LLC in Concord, a real estate firm focusing on historic commercial properties.

Concord Hospital Medical Group hired Lisa Tilluckdharry to its pulmonary medicine department. Tilluckdharry was assistant professor in the departments of medicine and anesthesiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for six years.

Nancy Wells, a former clinical assistant professor at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, will coordinate a new initiative from the NH Department of Education in Concord. The initiative will focus on technical assistance, resources and training for school nurses.

The Manchester Development Corporation (MDC) purchased  23 Amherst St. in Manchester. MDC is seeking proposals to renovate and operate the vacant building as a venue for live music, theatre, movies, community and private events.

McLane Middleton in Manchester hired Benjamin B. Folsom as an associate in its litigation department. Folsom was previously a litigator in Chicago.

People’s United Bank’s Community Foundation donated $5,000 to Marguerite’s Place in Nashua, which provides affordable, transitional housing and supportive services for homeless women and their children. The funding will perform its core services and operations.

Resonetics in Nashua, a laser micro manufacturer for the medical industry, will open a new 18,000 sq. ft. production facility in Costa Rica. Operations are expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2016.

TD Bank hired Daniel L. Brown as regional sales manager, VP for TD merchant services. Brown, who will be based out of Epping, has 12 years of banking experience, as well as 15 years in the electronic payments business.
