World Sports Grille, a new gastro pub in Manchester, took over Jillian's in Manchester this month.

Residents of Windsor Park Estates in Colebrook closed on the purchase of a 48-unit community, making it NH's 104th resident-owned manufactured housing community. Using funding from the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund in Concord, residents formed the Colebrook Homeowners Cooperative, Inc. in November 2012 to purchase the park.

Antioch University in Ohio appointed Tim Jordan of Keene to the position of Vice Chancellor and CFO. Jordan has been involved with Antioch for nearly 30 years in finance-related capacities. Prior to his appointment, Jordan served as VP for Finance and Administration at Antioch University New England in Keene, where he also served as Chief Administrative Officer and CFO since 2004.

The Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire in Concord elected new board members and officers. The new board members include: Timothy Dining, president of Greenerd Press and Machine in Nashua; Scott Ellison, attorney at Cook Little Rosenblatt and Manson in Manchester; John Olson, president of Whelen Engineering Company of Charlestown, and Steven Webb, market president of TD Bank in Concord.

Representatives of the Appalachian Mountain Club of Crawford Notch and Plymouth State University of Plymouth signed a memorandum of understanding, making their organizations' commitment to continued collaboration official.

Tobey & Merrill Insurance of Hampton, Optima Bank & Trust of Portsmouth, and Reliable Restoration & Recovery LLC of Epping teamed up to donate $4,000 to Families First Health and Support Center of Portsmouth.

North Branch Construction of Concord will begin exterior improvements at the New Hampshire Hospital Acute Psychiatric Services Facility in Concord. The improvements include roof replacement, masonry veneer repair, and replacement of exterior composite wall cladding materials. The construction is expected to be complete in February 2014.

General Electric chose Lead2Revenue, a lead and market development consultancy in Epping, to help optimize it's sales pipeline development process.

Bean Group, a real estate company located in Portsmouth, has been named to the REAL Trends 500, a compilation of the 500 most successful real estate brokerage firms in the United States for the fifth consecutive year. Bean Group was named on both the closed transaction side and closed sales volume reports ranking at the 257 and 275 spots respectively.

Salem's Hemenway Trust Company, a private trust and wealth advisory firm affiliated with Hemenway and Barnes, LLP, appointed Dennis Delaney as managing director, Mark Elefante as VP, and Melanie Wright as director of operations.

Durham's University of NH School of Law student Craig Litherland of Concord won this year's UNH Paul J. Holloway Prize Innovation-to-Market competition, which includes a grand prize of $25,000 in celebration of the competition's 25th anniversary. Litherland has a biomedical engineering background and invented a clip to stop brain aneurysms.

EPA of Boston awarded $12 million in Brownfield grants to protect people's health and lead to a cleaner environment in New England communities. The grants, funded by EPA's Brownfields Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund, and Cleanup grants, provide communities with funding necessary to assess, clean up, and redevelop contaminated properties, boost local economies, and leverage jobs while protecting the environment.

Goedecke Flooring and Design Center of Bedford was named the 2013 Family Business of the Year by the University of NH Center for Family Business in Durham.

Dartmouth College in Hanover appointed Robert W. Lasher as senior VP for advancement. Lasher brings nearly 20 years of experience working in the institutional strategy, philanthropy, and marketing.

The Milford Improvement Team announced that St. Joseph Hospital Milford Medical Center in Milford has become a 2013 Community Partner, who are corporate citizens that have pledged to support the ongoing efforts of the improvement team.

In Portsmouth, the Cross Roads House, Inc. announced that their Executive Director, Chris Sterndale, will  be stepping down after 13 years of service. Martha Stone, the shelter's development director, will replace Sterndale.

Devine Millimet, located in Manchester, received the U.S. Small Business Administration's 2013 New Hampshire Small Business "Champion of the Year" award.
