In Portsmouth, the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to support three dental programs at Families First Health and Support Center, including on-side dental care,, the school-based program known as Seacoast Healthy Grins, and mobile dental care for people experiencing homelessness.

Crystal Pearson joined Manchester's Citizens Bank as assistant vice president business banking officer. Pearson will oversee the development of new and existing relationshps with business customers, consult with business owners to identify banking needs, and work with branch staff.

The Children's Alliance of NH, based in Henniker, released the NH Roadmap to End Childhood Hunger, a systemic guide to tackling the root causes of childhood hunger. The publication of the NH Roadmap took place at the Henniker Community School in Henniker.

Jennifer Samson, a junior at Southern New Hampshire University located in Manchester and a resident of Attleboro, MA, has been awarded the second-annual James H. Bradley Memorial Scholarship by the Yankee Chapter. Samson is pursuing a major in communications and a minor in public relations.

North Branch Construction of Concord has begun erecting steel for the new Southern New Hampshire University Residence Hall in Manchester. This four-story building will serve as a co-ed dormitory with over 300 beds.

The owners and employees of Concord's Sanel Auto Parts donated 60 complete Thanksgiving meals to the City of Concord's Human Services Department

In Manchester, the Citizens Bank Foundation provided a $10,000 grant to City Year's "Whole School Whole Child" program currently underway in six elementary schools in Manchester.

FairPoint Communications, located in Manchester, expanded broadband to 4,905 homes and businesses in 33 New Hampshire communities.

BerryDunn, a New Hampshire accounting firm in Manchester, brought together their state tax experts to form a new group designed to give businesses the state and local tax information to navigate the laws that affect them.

St. Mary's Bank of Manchester announced a $2,500 Community Outreach grant to The Way Home for a residence for homeless veterans. The grant will help cover the cost of furnishings and appliances for The Way Home's Laurel Keys home in Manchester, accommodating six residents.

Joseph Kenney joined The Provident Bank, with offices in Manchester and Concord, as vice president of commercial lending. Kenney will work with businesses, providing them with capital needed to grow their operations, invest in new equipment, and create jobs to spur local economic development.

Bedford's Panera Bread bakery-cafe donated $5,050 to CASA of New Hampshire, a non-profit providing advocates for neglected and abused children.

In Manchester, the Citizens Bank Foundation provided a $25,000 grant to The Friendly Kitchen in Concord to support its Rising from the Ashes Capital CAmpaign in the wake of a 2011 fire that destroyed the building.

Concord's Nathan Wechsler & Company, P.A., certified public accountants, announced that Managing Director Kirk B. Leoni has been reelected as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Concord Chamber of Commerce.

In Portland, ME, FairPoint Communications was awarded a four-year contract worth more than $16 million to support the needs of the New England Telehealth Consortium. Under the contract, FairPoint will provide Carrier Ethernet Services to more than 400 health care sites in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
