In Nashua at Axenics, Inc., a firm specializing in manufacturing of clean piping products and gas systems, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) created a grant program to grow small business exports, prepare for new markets, access export financing, and attend trade missions. Exeter's Hay Creek Hotels formed a new venture with U.S. Hotels Group to acquire two luxury boutique properties from the Carlyle Group: The Orchards Hotel in Williamstown, MA and The Centennial Hotel in Concord. Hay Creek Hotels will retain a 10 percent ownership in the hotels and continue to manage both properties.

Bank of New Hampshire in Gorham provided $10 million in financing for the purchase of a new tissue machine and related equipment for White Mountain Tissue, also located in Gorham.

In Bedford, the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority released a study that examined the lack of impact new housing construction has on school enrollment in the state using 2010 census data and case studies of four communities in various parts of the state. The study shows demographic influences have a greater significance.

American Bus Association in Concord announced three NH events have been designated among the Top 100 Events in North America for 2013: NH Maple Weekend in March, Hampton Beach Seafood Festival in September, and NH Highland Games in September.

Internet Infrastructure firm Dyn, which is headquartered in Manchester, has acquired TZO, a long time leader in Managed DNS services. This is Dyn's fifth acquisition in the past three years.
