In the Spotlight:Citizens Bank recently awarded $25,000 to NeighborWorks Southern NH in recognition of Financial Literacy Month and the organization’s HOMEteam program. HOMEteam is a collaboration between NeighborWorks, CATCH Neighborhood Housing, and Lakes Region Community Developers for the delivery of financial literacy and homebuyer education for New Hampshire residents.

Thirteen graduates completed the Hoffman-Haas Fellowship, a nonprofit board leadership program of the NH Center for Nonprofits. Each received mentoring from an experienced board member and attended workshops with nationally recognized experts on topics of fiscal strategy, sustainability, fundraising, and governance. the graduates are: Anna Brennan-Curry, UNH Institute on Disability, Pip Clews, Portsmouth, Diane Foley, James W. NBT Bank NH hired Rebekah Stone VP and commercial portfolio manager. Stone will work closely with the bank’s commercial lending team and large commercial customers. Vincent Olivo has been hired as a mortgage originator. Both will be based out of NBT’s Portsmouth office.

Kimberly Place has joined MillRiver Wealth Management as assistant VP and chartered financial consultant. In this role, Place oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive financial plans for individuals, businesses and organizations. She is based in MillRiver’s Concord office on 89 North Main Street.

The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce recognized four businesses and individuals for professional excellence and commitment to the chamber and the community. The 2018 Pinnacle Awards include: small business of the year, Warrenstreet Architects, business of the year, Duprey Hospitality; business leader of the year, Cindy Flanagan of Concord Dance Academy; and nonprofit business of the year is Intown Concord. The chamber will recognize honorees at a luncheon on Thursday, June 7.

The firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green PA has received the highest rankings in NH for 2018 by Chambers USA, a prestigious directory of the country's top law firms. Sheehan Phinney is the only NH firm to be ranked Band 1 (highest ranking) in the state for all areas, which include corporate/commercial (including tax and bankruptcy), environment, labor and employment, litigation and real estate (including land use).

Milford Motors LLC has signed on with U-Haul Company of NH as a neighborhood dealer to serve the Milford community. It will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, moving supplies and in-store pick-up for boxes.

Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc. in Milford, was named the 2018 Powertrain Supplier of the Year at the FCA US LLC awards in Detroit on April 24. Hitchiner was one of 16 companies recognized by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles at the annual awards for quality and excellence.
