Due to exponential growth, the Portsmouth Neuropsychology Center LLC, a private clinical psychology practice, is relocating 501 Islington Street in Portsmouth, doubling its space in the process. This is the second significant expansion by the center in five years.

Founded by Dr. Laura Rubin in 2006, she and Dr. Lauren Cook, both clinical psychologists, provide neuropsychological evaluations to diagnose conditions such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities, as well as provide psychotherapy, school consultations, and forensic consultations. Asked to comment about the growth to date, Rubin says, “It has been exciting to grow the practice to better serve the needs of children with complex learning and social-emotional challenges. Our clients travel from northern New England to consult with us.”

With regard to further expansion plans, Rubin says, “We’re actively recruiting another doctor right now. The demand for our child psychology services continues to grow; moved into this larger space will allow us to help more children and their families reach the maximum potential.”

Portsmouth Neuropsychology’s new office features increased clinical service space, a relaxing waiting room with amenities such as Wi-Fi and beverages, and easy highway access.
