Ron Rioux Appointed Vice Chancellor of Community College System

Ron Rioux of Exeter has been appointed vice chancellor of the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH). In this position, Rioux will oversee internal operations of the central office that serves the seven-college system. Rioux will also focus on business partnerships to strengthen academic offerings.  
 
Rioux's experience spans the private and public sector. He is a past president and CEO of St. Mary's Bank, headquarted in Manchester. He was a loaned executive to both the NH Department of Resources and Economic Development and the Governor's office. In 2008, Rioux was appointed to the CCSNH Board of Trustees, where he chaired the finance and audit committees. And, he served as interim president of Manchester Community College in 2009-10.

Currently, Rioux is vice chair of the board for St. Mary's Bank. He was founder and vice chair of America's Credit Union Museum Foundation. He previously served as a board member and vice chair of Catholic Medical Center in Manchester; a board member and vice chairman of RiverWoods of Exeter, and vice chair of the board of NH Catholic Charities.
 
Rioux holds a degree in business management from Southern New Hampshire University, and an honorary Doctor of Law degree from St. Anselm's College in Manchester.

The Community College System of NH serves more than 27,000 students  annually and consists of seven colleges, offering associate degree and certificate programs, professional training, and transfer pathways to four-year degrees. The System's colleges are Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth; Lakes Region Community College in Laconia; Manchester Community College; Nashua Community College; NHTI Concord's Community College; River Valley Community College in Claremont and Keene; and White Mountains Community College in Berlin and Littleton.
