With the idea of breathing new life into the City of Nashua, Lannan partnered with an entity that focused on Factory Outlet Shopping Centers nationwide. That company developed over 500,000 square feet of shopping space through Arkansas, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and NH.

From there, Lannan opened The Lannan Company, focusing in developing properties in Downtown Nashua. The company owns mixed-use investment properties.

Lannan was a member of the initial study for a downtown Improvement District, which turned into the Downtown Improvement Committee that funded the study for the Performing Arts Center. In 2008, Lanna was appointed to Nashua’s Service Advisory Committee and the Downtown Improvement Committee. In the years following, he would go on to be appointed to the Steering Committee of the proposed Nashua Performing Arts Center and became the committee's chairman.

Lannan spent thousands of hours focusing on the construction of the Performing Arts Center by hosting weekly, and sometimes daily, meetings with Havery Construction and the City of Nashua.

Lannan serves on several other boards in Nashua, including the Enterprise Bank of Southern NH Advisory Council and the Heart Warriors Foundation Advisory Board. He  started the annual golf tournament for the Heart Warrior Foundation, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars yearly for scholarships in the field of medicine.
