Retail Merchants Association

Published Tuesday Mar 29, 2011

The Retail Merchants Association of NH enrolled seven new businesses in its Energy Efficiency Program. Julie Karaba, the project manager said, "The value or energy efficiency for small and mid-sized businesses is really beginning to take hold. We are finding that controlling costs, particularly rising costs, and using less energy are among the most obvious adjustments that business owners are interested in doing something about." Karbaba added, "Our program hopes to develop a strong group of demonstration projects that will help guide a larger set of businesses in the years to come."

New Program enrollees are:

  • Hanover Park Condo Association in Hanover
  • The Mariposa Museum in Peterborough
  • Brophy Wealth Management in Bedford
  • Lou's Restaurant in Hanover
  • Stoppe Management in Plymouth
  • Plymouth Ski and Sports in Plymouth
  • Rumney Animal Hospital in Rumney

The RMANH Energy Efficiency Program offers a three-step process for businesses to evaluate current energy use and whether money can be saved through retrofits. They then help companies create a plan to undertake and finance the projects.

The program is offered to current and new RMANH members and is targeted at small and mid-sized commercial customers. However, as long as the enrollee is not a residential electric customer, they are welcome to join. There are a limited number of spots available in
2011, so early enrollment is suggested.

To enroll in the Program or learn more about it, contact Julie Karaba at (603) 225-9748, or at energy@RMANH.com.
