Restaurant Seminar Scheduled for Oct 1

Published Wednesday Sep 10, 2008

In today's receding economy, staying afloat in the restaurant business is a daunting task. A one-day eight-hour seminar presented by the Restaurant Seminar Institute is promising to be exactly what restaurant owners need to survive hard
times.

This seminar, Restaurant Accounting and Controls 2008, will be given by Ed Hynes, co-author with Walt Matysik of "PPC's Guide to Restaurants and Bars." Hynes, a CPA, and Matysik, a restaurant owner, often work together to create strategies for restaurants to adjust to a changing economy.

In this seminar, Hynes will cover a range of subjects including tweaking menu prices for maintaining profits and how to reduce income taxes. Attendees will receive take-home materials, including a 185-page reference manual.

This seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn, 81 Riverside Street, Portland, ME on October 1, 2008. Cost is $245 person and discounts for groups are available.

The seminar runs from 9 am to 5 pm. Call 800 526-5798 or visit www.restaurantseminars.com to register.
