Playing the stock market is tricky and with companies offering low- or no-cost commission websites, trading online has never been easier. That doesn’t mean it generates good results. If anything, Jeff Bishop, founder of RagingBull.com, says, it has created a swell of people who have lost money and are “looking for education.”
Located in Lee, RagingBull.com brings together successful traders who share expertise through videos, blogs and newsletters, as well as their successes and failures. “What gives us an edge is that we show what we are trading all the time. We have skin in the game,” Bishop says.
That thirst for knowledge has driven revenue to double almost every year, say Bishop, who started the company in Dallas and has 20 years of trading experience. His business partner, Jason Bond, is a former teacher, who quadrupled his teaching salary through trading under Bishop’s guidance. The duo market themselves as self-made millionaires who acquired their fortune through trading and who now teach others to navigate the stock market. “There are aggressive traders and we help them to get better,” Bishop says.
The company has recruited eight additional trainers from successful clients. The result is a multi-million-dollar business with an average annual revenue growth of 106% between 2016 and 2018. It has 60 support staff who work nationwide.
Bishop expects the company to hit the $100-million mark within two years. RagingBull.com just signed a deal with Daymond John, the creator of FUBU and a shark on ABC’s Shark Tank, to create educational products to be rolled out in late October. The company is also considering expanding into foreign markets. “I want to build something with longevity,” Bishop says.
