Codet, Inc., a third generation family business with headquarters in Coaticook, Quebec, plans to build an 11,500-square-foot addition to its manufacturing facility in Colebrook and hire 25 new employees.
Codet makes apparel under three brands, Big Bill Protective Apparel, Big Bill Workwear and Wood'N Trail for Outdoor Apparel.
“Codet considered other states for its expansion but the company decided to stay and grow in New Hampshire because of Colebrook’s quality labor force and the state’s low taxes,” said Michael Bergeron, business development manager for the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development in Concord. Beno Lamontagne, the North Country’s business retention specialist for the division, has worked with the Codet team since it moved to Colebrook in 1992.
“Colebrook’s strong cultural ties to Quebec and the town’s business friendly climate demonstrate that we welcome Quebec companies with open arms,” said Lamontagne.
The expansion will be completed by the end of the year.
