When Roselyn J. Langianese and her four partners launched Summit Title Services 12 years ago, there were just six employees. But within five years of launching, she bought her partners out and has grown the firm to a staff of 48 with offices in Bedford, Gilford, Portsmouth, Nashua and Windham.
Langianese started in the title industry when she was just 19, working part-time as a legal secretary while attending college. But she was clearly hooked. When she graduated from college, she continued in the industry and eventually began
writing mortgages.
Today, she leads a company that continues to grow, even expanding into Maine and Massachusetts. In NH, also does business in the North Country. She credits this growth on two things: the company’s focus on customer service and its investment in technology to streamline processes.
The substantial increase in people refinancing their homes and moving during the pandemic has dramatically increase business at Summit Title Services. “We did more business in 2020 than we have in the past 12 years,” she says. “Our team is awesome, and we worked together to make it happen. Good relationships with loan officers and with the realtor community put us in a good position to grow our business in the way we did.”
This year has also proved beneficial to the title business. “We’re actually ahead of last year,” Langianese reported in October. “There is a lot of opportunity there we haven’t tapped into.”
Langianese was among the industry leaders who worked with the governor and the legislature on the recently passed bill to allow online notarization in NH, which will take effect in early 2022. She says that will help spur additional growth.
