The trustees, administration and staff of Parkland Medical Center are welcoming a new chief executive officer, Chris Accashian, FACHE. Accashian comes to the hospital from Hospital Corporation of America’s Capital Division, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. While there, he served as COO of Retreat Doctors’ Hospital. Prior to that, he served as associate administrator, for Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, also in Richmond.
Accashian earned a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, a Medline Scholar and chapter president of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
While in Richmond he served as vice chair and treasurer of the board for Family Lifeline, a local non-profit organization serving the health and wellness needs of at-risk families through comprehensive home-based programs. He was appointed to the Mayor’s blue ribbon commission for health and was a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond.
