New Hampshire Secretary of State David M. Scanlan announced that the state's voting information is available in Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese on the Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.nh.gov/multilingual-election-information.
In April 2022, the Secretary of State’s Office initiated discussions on this project with Language Bank, a professional translation service. Election officials are encouraged to print off these materials as needed and use them as a resource during the September 13 primary and November 8 general elections.
As the administrator of elections in NH, the Secretary of State’s Office strives to ensure everyone who is qualified to vote is given an equal opportunity to do so. Part of this effort includes making important election information more accessible to foreign-language speaking citizens. This diversification of voting resources reflects the growth of cultural diversity among NH's citizenry.
