NH Liquor Commission to build its first NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in the community of Tilton. The 12,000-square-foot Outlet, which will feature more than 3,600 sizes and varieties of wines and spirits, will closely mirror the new NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Warner (pictured here), which opened in July 2017.

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) announced plans to build its first NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Tilton. The 12,000-square-foot Outlet, which will feature more than 3,600 sizes and varieties of wines and spirits and is expected to generate $7 million in annual sales. The Outlet should open in September 2020 and will be breaking ground this summer.

This is the latest project in NHLC’s ongoing effort to improve its 78 outlets. The standalone Tilton location will be strategically located on the westerly side of I-93 at Exit 20, situated directly between Market Basket and Northway Bank within a major shopping area featuring several major retailers, including Walmart, Lowe’s, and the popular Tanger Outlets.

NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica says, “This is the ideal location to capitalize on the popularity and abundance of retail shopping opportunities and accessibility to both residents and the traveling public. This site will help maximize our exposure alongside prominent regional and national brands, while fulfilling our obligations to maximize revenue for the New Hampshire General Fund, which funds critical services in education, health and social services, transportation and natural resource protection.”

The Tilton NH Liquor & Wine Outlet will be located on land owned by Market Basket. Market Basket operations manager David McLean says, “Market Basket is pleased to partner with the NHLC to bring this new store to Tilton. In recent years, Market Basket has developed new state-of-the-art NH Liquor & Wine Outlets in Warner, Seabrook and Londonderry. Market Basket and NHLC have a great relationship and share a commitment to customers, delivering great value on a wide selection of quality products.”

Since 2012, NHLC has opened 30 new or renovated NH Liquor & Wine Outlets. In addition to Tilton, NHLC opened a new 22,000-square-foot Outlet at the Portsmouth Traffic Circle last fall and construction is underway on new Outlets in West Lebanon and on the city line of Dover-Somersworth. NHLC also completed renovations on its Lancaster Outlet last October.
