New SBA Administrator Named

The U.S Small Business Administration appointed six SBA regional administrators. SBA has 10 regions covering the United States and U.S. territories. These offices, which are managed by politically appointed administrators, play a part in supervising the 68 district offices and promoting the President's and SBA administrator's policies, messages and priorities throughout the region.   

"I am very pleased that we now have six new Regional Administrators in place that can help support me and the President in serving as a voice and go-to resource for our nation's 30 million small businesses. I will rely on them heavily as we move forward in 2018 and beyond and look forward to working closely with each one of them," says SBA Administrator Linda McMahon.

Region I

As Region I Administrator, Wendell G. Davis will oversee SBA programs, offices and operations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, NH, Rhode Island and Vermont. Davis comes from the DCB Law Group LLC where he was a Managing Partner. His practice area focused on Business law and Commercial Transactions Practice Group. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School.

Region II

As Region II Administrator, Steve Bulger will oversee SBA programs, offices and operations in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. Until recently Bulger worked as the District Director for Congressman Chris Gibson. For the past six years he oversaw all Congressional district operations across 15 counties in Eastern New York. He has a master's degree in Public Administration from the Rockefeller Institute of Public Policy, Albany, New York.

Region V

As Region V Administrator, Robert Scott will oversee SBA programs, offices and operations in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. Scott is a partner and attorney with Oldham & Deitering, LCC in Dayton, Ohio where his practice focused primarily on family, business, real estate, contract, appellate, probate and other areas for small to medium sized businesses. He is a graduate of the University of Dayton, School of Law.

Region VII

As Region VII Administrator, Thomas J. Salisbury will oversee SBA programs, offices and operations in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Salisbury previous served as the Small Business Liaison for U.S. Senator Roy D. Blunt. For six years he was responsible for interaction with business leaders, local government, and constituents in a 23 county NW Missouri region. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri.

Region VIII

As Region VIII Administrator Daniel P. Nordberg will oversee SBA programs, offices and operations in Colorado, North Dakota,  Montana, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. Nordberg was a three-time elected representative for 75,000 constituents in the Colorado General Assembly.  He sponsored several bills into law and is an advocate in reducing regulatory burdens on small businesses. He is a graduate of Colorado State University.

Region X

As Region X Administrator, M. Jeremy Field will oversee SBA programs, offices and operations in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. For the past eight years Field worked as the Regional Director and State Grant coordinator for U.S. Senator James E. Risch. In this capacity he managed Sen. Risch daily communications throughout Southeast Idaho and built strong relationships with community leaders. He has a Juris Doctor degree from the of University of Idaho, College of Law and a Master of Science in Public Administration from Idaho State University.
