Bryanna Marceau
President and CEO of Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce
The board of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce faced a daunting task when President Tim Sink announced his planned retirement after a 33-year career leading the chamber. They were able to find their next leader close to home.
Bryanna “Bree” Marceau became president and CEO on Oct. 1, capping a nine-year journey through the organization where she served in several roles, most recently as vice president of operations and programs since 2019.
Marceau’s years of experience, she says, have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of how each piece of the organization fits together. That’s a perspective she hopes will help her lead one of the largest chambers in NH.
A lifelong Granite Stater, Marceau’s career path began at Keene State College before spending 13 years in retail focusing on training and team development, hiring managers and supporting grand openings of new locations. Along the way, she also volunteered on local committees and was drawn to the vital role chambers play in connecting communities.
“Chambers bring the community together,” she says. “We’re often seen as conveners, and our members, who range from small businesses to larger-scale enterprises, bring a richness of perspectives. Amplifying that collective voice is our primary focus,” she says.
Marceau says she is particularly focused on helping businesses navigate challenges such as workforce development, housing affordability, and access to childcare, issues that she frames not only as social challenges but as economic ones. “If people don’t have housing, childcare, or healthcare, it’s hard for employers to hire and retain talent,” she notes.
Marceau wants to continue the chamber’s commitment to education and youth engagement. For 30 years, the Chamber’s student leadership program has introduced high school students to their communities, civic engagement, and career pathways. “We want students to see the opportunities available here if they choose to put down roots in New Hampshire,” she says. Through partnerships with local colleges and career and technical centers, Marceau works to connect students with internships, certifications, and future careers, ensuring the region’s workforce pipeline is strong.
Known as collaborative and a good communicator, Marceau values transparency and listening as tools to build trust with her staff and members. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, exploring local shops and farmers markets, and reading. She cherishes NH’s proximity to mountains, beaches, and Boston, and brings that same passion for community and place to her new leadership role.
Looking ahead, Marceau says she plans to deepen engagement with chamber members, expand advocacy efforts at both local and state levels, and continue fostering a forward-thinking environment where businesses can thrive.
