Barbara Potvin, owner of The New England Sampler in downtown Manchester, will be celebrating the shop's fifth anniversary on December 6 with cake and ice cream and a NH specialty foods tasting. The celebration will take place during the Shoppes of Historic Downtown Manchester's first Holiday Shoppe Hop, also scheduled for that same day.
The shop first opened for business during a Northeaster snow storm in 2003. Since opening the business, Potvin has received three awards: the Pride of New England Award, a Golden Mike Award for Retail Commercial, and a Fast 50 for its gift basket revenue growth.
