New England College to Require Vaccinations

Citing a successful on-campus experience this past academic year, New England College (NEC) President Michele Perkins announced that the school will add the COVID-19 vaccine to the list of required vaccinations. "With limited exceptions, all students attending classes on campus in fall 2021 must be fully vaccinated. Faculty and staff must also be fully vaccinated by August 1, 2021 if they work on campus,” she said.

The College has urged community members to get vaccinated, has conducted vaccination clinics on campus, and is planning more clinics in the future.

Cognizant that the COVID-19 vaccination places another task on student checklists, Perkins added, “Vaccination of our on-campus community will help us return to normal. We will be able to have more face-to-face classes and non-class activities. We will be able to schedule travel courses, field trips, host athletic competitions, and open up our galleries and theatre for exhibitions and performances, and so much more.”

New England College  serves over 5,000 undergraduate, graduate and online students annually on its campuses in Henniker and Manchester.
