Businesses may be more receptive to allowing employees to work offsite, the findings of a recent survey suggest. In an Accountemps study, more than one-third of CFOs said remote work opportunities have increased at their companies over the past three years. Also, large companies were more likely to see remote work opportunities rise (68 percent), compared to small firms (34 percent).
 
The top benefits noted by companies who offer remote work options? Survey respondents cited:

  • Improves retention & morale by promoting work/life balance: 35%
  • Increases productivity by reducing commute time: 28%
  • Saves money by requiring less office space: 15%
  • Provides access to a broader talent pool: 10%
