While President Joe Biden’s vaccine requirement for employers with 100 or more employees met with some degree of criticism, a recent study found most employers welcome the mandate.
A survey of 1,052 workers across the country, conducted by Qualtrics and released in August, found the majority of workers—60%—support vaccine mandates before returning to work in person. Only 23% say they might leave their job if getting jabbed were mandatory.
The study also found tech workers are among the most supportive of vaccine requirements at work (75%) as opposed to 59% of retail workers and 58% of government employees.
Another study by Qualtrics found that 51% of parents support requiring proof of vaccination for children attending K-12, and 61% support requiring masks in the classroom. Conversely, nearly a quarter (24%) of parents would consider pulling a child out of school if masks were required.
