
Lucy Lange
Lucy Lange, the president and general manager of Manchester Media Group, whose stations include WZID, the Mill and WFEA, was appointed as NH’s next Commissioner of the Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) by Gov. Kelly Ayotte and the Executive Council.
Lange has more than 20 years of experience in business development and marketing. She has been at Manchester Media Group for more than five years and served as president since October 2023. She has worked in media her entire career, primarily in radio including serving as senior vice president of sales for NH for iHeartMedia for almost seven years and was vice president and general manager for Monadnock Broadcasting Group and Bratleboro Radio Group for a year before joinign the leadership team at Manchester Radio Group. Before that she served as director of internet sales and new product development at the Union Leader Corporation for a year.
“We need to think creatively about how we market New Hampshire to businesses looking to grow, and Lucy Lange brings a fresh perspective to help the BEA tell that story,” Ayotte noted in a press release.
“It’s an honor to be confirmed by the Executive Council to lead our state’s economic development efforts,” Lange said following the vote. “I am ready to hit the ground running alongside Governor Ayotte, the Council, and the hardworking team at the BEA to promote growth opportunities in every corner of our state, uplift our business community, and showcase why New Hampshire is a beacon of economic opportunity for New England and our nation.”
Lange is originally from Buffalo, NY and moved to NH in 2008,. She lives in Bedford with her daughter, Ella. Lange serves as treasurer of the NH Association of Broadcasters and as a board member of Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter. She is also a member of the ReGen Valley Tech Hub Consortium and the American Legion Auxiliary.
